DESCRIPTION OF DRIER |
Casing (Drying chamber) : The drying chamber is made of double walled fabricated casing with 50 mm PUF insulation. Inner wall of casing is made of SS 304 and outer wall with M.S. painted finish. |
Size of chamber : 4000 L x 1500 W x 2900 H |
Trays : Perforated SS 304 sheets or SS wire mesh – size 600 x 900 x 25 |
Heating : Hot water from solar calorifier tank is circulated inside the chamber into two heat exchangers made of SS 304 finned tubes. The water from the calorifier tank will also be heated by LPG as a back up arrangement. |
Air heater Collectors : Each air collector is of size 2 M x 1 M and 3 collectors can be arranged in parallel / series configuration as per availability of space. This hot air is taken as inlet air into the chamber. |
Air Circulation : Two Axial flow fans of 6000 cfm/hr capacity provides the air circulation inside the chamber. |
Electric Control System : The blower will have on / off control, the Gas backup heaters can controlled automatically by a temperature controller. The temperature can be measured in two or three points in the tunnel. The humidity inside the chamber is read in a digital controller that controls the exhaust fans. |
Time of drying and output : The time of drying and specific weight of each product varies considerably. For eg: 2.5 to 3 Kg of material can be loaded in each tray and therefore capacity of the drier can be 250 to 300kg on a wet basis. |
