DESCRIPTION OF DRIER

Casing (Drying chamber) : The drying chamber is made of double walled fabricated casing with 50 mm PUF insulation. Inner wall of casing is made of SS 304 and outer wall with M.S. coated finish.

Size of chamber : 2200 L x 1200 W x 1200 H

Trays : Perforated SS 304 sheets or SS wire mesh – size 600 x 900 x 20
Quantity - 40 Nos

Heating : Hot Air from solar Air Heating Collectors is forced into the Chamber by 1HP Centrifugal Blower.

Air heater Collectors : Each air collector is of size 2 M x 1 M and 12 collectors can be arranged in parallel / series configuration as per availability of space. This hot air is taken as inlet air into the chamber.

Air Circulation : Four Axial flow fans of 1000 cfm/hr capacity provides the air circulation inside the chamber.

Electric Control System : The blower and Exhaust will have Manual on/off control for the purpose of Airflow reversal with the two diagonally opposite Axial fans that work together. The Electrical backup heaters can be controlled automatically by a temperature controller. The Exhaust ports can be manually operated by closefit baffles. Optional Automatic controller with Motorised Damper, Timer and Humidity Controller can be provided for Automated Operations.

Time of drying and output : The time of drying and specific weight of each product varies considerably. For eg: 2.5 to 3 Kg of material can be loaded in each tray and therefore capacity of the drier can be 100 to 120kg on a wet basis.
